There are 27 bee hives on the farm. These bees get to gather pollen and nectar from a Variety of plants that grow on the farm. Most years there is an abundance of clover, alfalfa, knapweed, fruit trees and a Variety of other flowers for the bees to pollinate. Towards the end of Summer a commercial bee keeper in Missoula picks up the hives and extracts the honey and brings back the hives. The honey is extracted with very low heat, filtered and placed in sanitized bottles, sealed and sold in Farmer country store. This honey is pure, raw and some of the best tasting honey around. What is nice is that it is pure having no corn syrup and not pasteurized.
